How Do I Access LockDown Browser On My Chromebook?
In order for the Lockdown Browser to be used, the student must be logged off on the Chromebook and at the login screen must launch it. Locate the Apps tab in the left hand corner of the screen next to Shutdown. Select the College Board app to sign-in with their AP username and password. What Do I Do If My Chromebook Won't Power On?
Chromebooks can lock themselves in a powered off state if the battery gets too low. If this happens, you can hold the Power and Refresh buttons for a few seconds. If the light on the side of the Chromebook does not turn on, and the screen remains black, try repeating the process with the device plugged in to make sure that it is not completely dead. If your device still does not power on, and you are learning in-school, please have your teacher contact the on-site technician to assist you. If you are virtual, please visit your nearest middle or high school and ask for the on-site technician to assist you.

Why Isn't My Microphone Working on My Chromebook?
If you are on a website (such as SmartyAnts), you may need to enable your microphone. The following instructions will explain how to enable to microphone within Chrome browser / on your Chromebook. 1. Select the lock icon to the left of the address in the address bar. A drop down box will appear with an option for Site Settings at the bottom. Select the Site Settings option. 2. In the Site Settings, locate Microphone. Change the preference to the right of it from Ask or Block to Allow. You may need to reload the page afterwards but your microphone should now be enabled for that site.

How to Enter/Exit Full Screen Mode on a Chromebook
Full Screen Mode within the Chrome browser provides a view that eliminates distractions. Teachers may find this mode helpful while conducting online assessments. Enter Full Screen Mode There are two ways users can enter Full Screen Mode The first option is use the Full Screen key on your Chromebook's keyboard. On your Chromebook Keyboard: 1. Select the 5th key from the left (pictured below) Another way to enter Full Screen Mode is to go into Chrome browser settings: 1. In the top right corner of the Chrome browser, Select the 3 dots 2. In the drop down menu, Navigate to the Zoom row, Select the square icon Your Chrome display is now in Full Screen Mode. Exit Full Screen Mode To exit Full Screen Mode, simply select the Full Screen key on your Chromebook Keyboard: 1. How Do I Reset My Chromebook?
If you are experiencing intermittent issues with your chromebook and would like to reset it, you can perform a powerwash of the device. If you are currently in-school, you will need assistance from your school tech to perform the powerwash. If you are at home and have access to Wi-Fi, you can perform this powerwash yourself. Please follow these instructions: 1. Press ESC + REFRESH + POWER to start the process. The Power button may be on the side of the device or on the keyboard. 2. On the Please insert a recovery USB stick or SD card screen, press CTRL + D. 3. Press Enter to turn OS verification off. 4. Press Enter again to turn OS verification back on. 5. Wait for the system to reboot after confirming the verification is on. 6. Once rebooted, the chromebook will display a Welcome to Chromebook screen. Click Get started. On the following page, you will have to connect to the network. Select your home network and input your password. 7. Once connected, the device should auto-enroll. If the device requests enrollment information, please contact the Technology Help Desk at (757) 881-5461 ext. 12511 for assistance. 8. After finishing enrollment, the device should boot with the standard log-in page for students.

FEV Tutor Systems & Audio Check
When using the FEV Tutor platform, go to this link to conduct a quick systems check to make sure your device is running the correct browser version and connected to audio. If your browser's audio is disconnected, it means the device microphone will be blocked and unable to use with the platform. Please make sure you properly "allow" the microphone to be connected. 1. Select the site setting icon to open the microphone "allow" window in the browser. 2. Choose the "Always allow" option in the window prompt. Click "Done" to save your selection. 3. Refresh the browser screen to enforce the selected audio setting. The systems check should indicate a successful connection. Why Is The Chromebook Keyboard Typing Different Letters?
If the keyboard on the Chromebook is typing different letters or symbols on the screen than displayed on the keyboard, you may need to adjust the Keyboard Input settings. 1. Open the Settings on the Chromebook by clicking on the time in the bottom right and clicking on the icon. 2. Select Advanced on the left side of the screen. Navigate to Inputs and keyboards. 3. The Input method should be English (US). If it is not you can remove any other input methods and re-add English (US) by clicking Add input methods and selecting it.

How Do I Access My New Horizons Account?
To access your New Horizons account on your NNPS Chromebook: 1. Log into your Chromebook using your NNPS student username and password. 2. Open a Google Chrome page. Click on your account avatar at the top right of the page. Select Add another account. 3. Log in with your New Horizons username and password. This will add your New Horizons account to the list. 4. Switch between the two by clicking on the account avatar and selecting the appropriate account. Image Caption

QR Badges Login for Clever Portal on Chromebook Devices
STEP 1: Open your Google Chromebook. Click the Next button. STEP 2: The device web-cam will open. Hold your badge up to the camera to login. When the QR badge is detected, a green check mark appears and login is complete. STEP 3: That's it! You are now logged in to the Clever Portal. Open new tabs in the browser to open other websites and applications. NOTE: If you need to login to the device without a badge: During Step 1 above, click the "Sign in with a different account" link to login to the device normally. If you experience issues with a badge at Step 2, an alert will appear after a few seconds prompting you to login to the district Clever Portal normally. Click the "Log in" button to be taken to the login website. Use either your Google NNPS account or Clever credentials to login.
