Chromebooks can lock themselves in a powered off state if the battery gets too low. 

If this happens, you can hold the Power and Refresh buttons for a few seconds. 

If the light on the side of the Chromebook does not turn on, and the screen remains black, try repeating the process with the device plugged in to make sure that it is not completely dead.

If your device still does not power on, and you are learning in-school, please have your teacher contact the on-site technician to assist you.

If you are virtual, please visit your nearest middle or high school and ask for the on-site technician to assist you.
