How do I connect my classroom phone?
Watch this video to see how to connect your classroom phone. You should have two Ethernet cords in your room. They look similar to this. (Color of the cords does not matter.) Cord #1 goes from the wall unit to the port on the back of your phone, left side, with the 3 dot icon. Cord #2 (the black cord pictured on the right) goes from the port on the back of your phone, right side, with the computer icon above it and attaches into the ethernet port on the your laptop (depending on your laptop model, the port may be located in the back or on the side). When the ethernet cord is plugged from your phone into your laptop, we call that “hardwired in” versus being connected wirelessly via the NNPS WiFi. *You MUST be ‘hardwired in’ to view the morning show each morning. See this Cisco Phone Quick Start Guide for more information.

Cleaning Instructions for Mobile Devices
Cleaning Instructions: Mobile Devices These directions may be used/adapted for Chromebooks, iPads, tablets, and similar mobile devices. Preparations You will need the following items: Isopropyl alcohol (70%) (Do not use cleaning wipes/packets as they are too wet.) A semi-abrasive cloth or microfiber cloth Disposable, sanitary gloves These cleaning items should be stored away from students. Step 1: Completely power down the device to be cleaned. For Chromebooks, turn it off by holding down the power button in the top right corner or left edge. Don’t set it to sleep or hibernate. Shut it off completely and make sure it’s off. Step 2: Remove any connected peripherals. This includes USB devices, such as a mouse, keyboard, USB drive, external hard drive, power cable, etc. Make sure there is nothing still connected to your mobile device. Cleaning the Keyboard Step 1: Apply a teaspoon of isopropyl alcohol on a semi-abrasive cloth. Use a terry cloth or fabric towel for this purpose; paper towels should not be used for this purpose. Step 2: Slowly, but firmly, go over your keys in a circular motion per key. Apply more isopropyl alcohol as needed. Don’t worry about the alcohol getting in between your keys too much. It’s not harmful to electronics by nature, but do not spray the liquid directly onto the device. Step 3: After all the keys are cleaned, let it sit until completely dry. This should only take a few minutes as rubbing alcohol evaporates quickly at room temperature. Cleaning the Trackpad, Lid, and Body Step 1: Apply a teaspoon of isopropyl alcohol to the cloth. Step 2: Wipe gently, but firmly, in a circular motion along the surface. Step 3: Let it air dry. No need to wipe. The solution will evaporate by itself and should leave no residue. If any residue remains, simply wipe it off with a cloth. Cleaning the Screen Perform this step last. You’ll need a special cleaning solution to clean your device screen. All-in-one solutions generic cleaners may not be safe for your display and may leave streaks or damage it. The following specialized cleaners are recommended: Whoosh Tech Hygiene Screen Moms Screen Cleaning Kit Tech Armor Complete Cleaning Kit Belkin Screen Cleaner Spray Kit Bryson Screen Cleaner Kit Follow the manufacturer’s directions to ensure that you clean the screen safely. Do not use normal soap, glass cleaner, or isopropyl alcohol to clean a screen.
