Joining a Zoom meeting on a Chromebook after the PWA update

 

Steps 1-3 are only required the first time the Google Play and Zoom apps are installed

Once the update has installed, click on the App Launcher in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen

Click on the Play Store icon.

If you do not see the Play Store icon, then the installation is not complete.  Wait for up to 30 minutes, depending on your wireless connection speed, and try again.

Verify the Zoom for Chrome - PWA app. has installed.

Join Zoom Meeting.

Navigate to Canvas to locate your Zoom link.

Click on the Zoom link.

If the meeting settings are set to require authentication for attendees, then follow steps 5 & 6.

Click Launch Meeting.

Click Allow. on the notification window

Click Join Audio by Computer.

If the meeting settings are NOT set to require authentication, then users will be prompted to enter their name as shown below.

Type Student’s name

Click the box that says “Remember my name for future meetings

Click Join.
