How do I display a student Chromebook on my SMART Board?
How do I display a student Chromebook on my SMART Board? Note: You will need a VGA to USB-C adapter to accomplish this task. Please check with your TSS or ITC to see if your site has these. Plug the SMART Board VGA cord (pictured in blue) into the Chromebook adapter (pictured in black). Colors may vary. Plug the adapter into the Chromebook on the left or right side. Both ports work and are the same ports used to charge the Chromebook. Plug the USB cord from the SMART Board into one of the USB ports on the Chromebook. Without this step, the sound will not connect. When the student is logged in, click the time in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. Click the Settings wheel. Click on Device on the left-hand side, then choose Displays. 6. Check the box that says “Mirror Built-In Display.” The Chromebook screen will project on the SMART Board.

How do I connect my SMART Board?
Watch this video to see how to connect the cords of your SMART Board. The “VGA Port” is the one with the two prongs and the trapezoid shape hookup. One end of the VGA cable goes into the box on the wall, the other goes into your laptop. This cord can be much thinner and a different color. What’s important is the hookup. This produces PICTURE on your SMARTBoard. This USB hookup is a cord coming from your SMARTBoard (already attached) and should be plugged into any USB port on your laptop. This produces SOUND and TOUCH on your SMARTBoard. Not sure what kind of set-up you have? Check out this graphic for two examples:
