These steps are for document camera brands OTHER than SMART (AVer, IPEVO, OKIOCAM, etc.) Plug the document camera into your laptop using the USB cord (it does not need to plug into a wall outlet, it will pull power from your laptop). If it prompts you to install software, go ahead through the steps.  Click the search icon in the bottom left corner of your Windows taskbar. Type Presenter and click on the App that pops up (it has a green square icon) When it opens, you will see one of two things: your webcam (yourself!) or the doc cam view. If it’s filming from your laptop webcam and showing you, look in the bottom left of the Presenter screen. There is a drop-down that likely says “Integrated Webcam.” Click the drop-down arrow, and switch to the other option. Before closing the app, right-click on the green Presenter icon on your toolbar and click “Pin to Taskbar.” Then, it’ll be there with one click next time you want to use it.
