How to wirelessly connect your iPad to your ViewSonic Panel

This article will help NNPS teachers and staff connect their staff-issued NNPS iPads to the Viewsonic Panel.

Make sure your iPad and ViewSonic Panel are connected to an NNPS Network (NNPSWN for iPad and NNPS-IOT for the Panel.)

Open VCast Receiver from the Home Screen on the ViewSonic Panel.

A unique 6-digit alphanumeric code will appear on the ViewSonic Panel.

Option 1:

Open the VCast Sender app on your iPad.

Type in the join code from the ViewSonic Panel and select Okay.

Option 2:

Open the VCast Sender app on your iPad.

Select Device List to choose your Device Name (found on the VcastReceiver app on the board)

Once your iPad connects, hide the VCast Sender App by pressing the Home Button on your iPad.

You will still maintain your connection to the board -even with a new code- until you close the app in the iPad App Switcher.

Open the iPad Control Center (swipe down from the top right corner of your iPad Screen)

Select the Screen Mirror icon (circled in red).

Look for the Device Name (should be Cast-#### and unique to each board.)

A 4-6 digit AirPlay Code will appear on the ViewSonic Panel.

Type in the code in the pop-up box that appears on your iPad screen.
(*This code will disappear if you do not complete this step within 30 seconds.)

To stop sharing your iPad Screen, go back to your iPad Control Center (swipe down from the top right corner of your iPad Screen).

Select Stop Mirroring.

On your Viewsonic Panel-

Tap the Screen

(You will see a pop up window in the bottom right corner prompting you to open Bluetooth on your Staff iPad)

On your Staff iPad-

Open the Settings App> Select Bluetooth

Under My Devices, you should see the device name Misc. or IFP7552-1C appear.

Follow the pop-up directions on the Settings screen on your iPad to complete the pairing request for your Viewsonic Panel.

Please note: This paired device will remain in your Bluetooth list of devices unless you choose to “forget this device”.
